I'm a writer, journalist, and producer working in film, publishing, and podcasting—work that has garnered film festival showcases, publication of my writing, as well as awards in journalism.
I was introduced to podcasting during my MFA studies, where I was an editor and producer on the school's award-winning human-interest podcast SAIC Beat. Since then, I've worked alongside scientists and researchers at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) on their podcast Third Pod from the Sun; I’ve hosted conversations with NASA scientists on the future of earth and space science for AGU Narratives; I've interned with SiriusXM's Earwolf team on podcasts that dive into pop-culture, politics, and film; I’ve apprenticed at the NPR member station LAist 89.3 where I worked on the daily news and public affairs program AirTalk with Larry Mantle as well as FilmWeek; and, currently, I’m continuing my work with LAist 89.3 as an Associate Producer.
Alongside podcasting and journalism, I've stayed committed to my love of visual storytelling. Most recently, I was a Producer on the stop-motion animated short film Sweetmeats—which had its World Premiere at SXSW (2024). Additionally, I was a Producer on the sci-fi/queer stop-motion animated short film Mother Bunker—a project that showcased in over thirty international film festivals and was programmed in the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art's Australian animation retrospective.
As someone that has spent the majority of their academic and professional experiences in the arts, I'm thrilled to take on opportunities that look to engage audiences with projects that are not only creative and accessible but are also—visually, audibly, structurally—entertaining.
